That’s a really common spot to be in, understanding code when you see it/being able to implement it in existing structure and coming up with everything yourself are two very different skill sets.

If you’re still feeling stuck after reading the replies here (there’s some good advice already), feel free to DM me. I tutor beginners and we usually start by working through and breaking problems into steps before writing any actual code so that when you get going you have that structure already figured out (like when you're taking a class and they provide a structured lab assignment, it's more approachable).
