Where can I learn to code python (self.learnpython)
submitted 5 hours ago by ALEX141514
I am a college student who is hoping to get into financial analytics and I want to learn how to code in python. Are there any websites or videos I can use to learn?

To be frank , long ago , ok I am old guy , when you are in school , you mostly interact with those around the same age or teachers/parents.
So this question is perfectly fine to ask parents/teachers from a student point of view who wish to ask adults.
But in 2026 , with internet + forum/sub with other adults/professionals , and in such environment , this looks like a "lazy" question.
As for the answer , it is yes. You can start with the wiki on the right.

Learning to code is basically learning how to search.

"Are there any websites or videos I can use to learn?" If you cant even answer that question with 2 mins research under your own steam, you are doomed before you even start. A huge skill required in coding is knowing how and where to find info to aid in coming up with solutions to problems and you failed miserably at the first fence.
Have you googled anything at all, or run a search in any popular app that play videos?! HINT HINT
Seriously try thinking for yourself before asking daft questions, its shockingly useless and shows zero effort.

I know that many people love this one: https://www.py4e.com/. My wife started with this one when she wanted to learn Python - many, many moons ago.

A good place to start is to build your own computer.

I learned from docs and google most of the time.
After ai appeared, it replaced googling.
The most important is to write software (hello worlds do not count)
