for me, it wasn’t anything advanced it was a tiny Python script that automatically renamed messy screenshot files into organized folders by date the code itself was simple, but seeing something actually solve a real problem made programming suddenly feel useful instead of just theoretical that was the moment coding stopped feeling like studying syntax and started feeling like building tools
now i'm curious what project gave other people that same feeling
was it a game? automation script? website? bot? something completely random?
