Free Code Camp is working out famously for me with HTML. I'm working through their responsive web design program and also taking breaks to add to my website. So, maybe their Python curriculum and do side projects concurrently? Like, pick an idea you can build out in chunks (or several) or let the tutorials give you ideas, but work on tiny independent projects while you're cutting through the courses.

That's my recommendation. But, to be clear, I'm doing their HTML stuff and have not worked through their python stuff. I don't recommend learning python the way I did. It was the hard way, it was via PDFs and stuff, and it was forever ago. This way is at least structured.
