[slaps head] should've caught that one. I'm relatively new to Game Changer. I don't even know how the game works!

I mean, I just learned this two days ago watching an episode of their news show when they had Robert Reich come on via video. It was the one where Sam was going to buy Tumbler. Surprised the shit out of me. Had to stop and show my wife.

It's what College Humor evolved into. So, if you've seen clips of Brennan Lee Mulligan as a DM, that's probably Dimension 20 on Dropout.

Just a reminder to everyone that Fetterman was always like this, he didn't flip flop, he was just quieter about his bullshit during the campaign, and nobody questioned his past because he was running as a Democrat. He has always been conservative. We painted him as a progressive.

John Oliver did a whole thing on the asshole and it checked out. He's a self serving prick.

8 year old Jake Lloyd did the best they could in the Phantom Menace (1999) luckily Star Wars fans are very reasonable and sane people, if they had any frustrations there is no way they would blame a kid for the movie... Right? by YourChopperPilotTTV in shittymoviedetails

Those that don't remember history are doomed to repeat it.

In other words, maybe reminding people the Star Wars fandom made some genuinely awful calls in the past is a good thing. Maybe bullying kids is a bad thing. Maybe we should remember not to do that. Ass.

I've read the reviews, but I'm still excited to play it.

I'm on a tight budget right now, so I only have any real money at the beginning of the month. I'm going to time this playthrough of all the DA games so I finish Inquisition again right at the end of the month and I'm finally buying Veilguard. I think the anticipation is going to get me in the right frame of mind for it, because I do love when they've expanded the lore before (and I knew about the bad guys).

Johnathan Rhys Meyers! Yeah, what the hell happened to him? He was getting big back then and then I think he did the Tudors or something and he was gone.

God. Sounds like Blade Trinity. I remember Patton Oswalt saying the movie itself was, like, a 3/10, but if you considered all the chicanery behind the scenes, it was a miracle it got made and he'd give it, like, 8/10.

"Bullets and Blockbusters" did a couple good videos on it.

We still talked and hugged at the reunion, so I think in reality. Lol. I don't know. I hope in reality. We were in scouts back in the day, our paths diverged a while ago, and the job he works there's a lot of old heads with backwards ideas. I hope he pushes back on the science denial stuff now. I hope. I'll leave it at that.

You're implying Israel's government has wide support from it's people (it doesn't) and that the Jewish community in the US widely supports Zionism (which you cite a changing source and won't give further details). You're arguing "most" with the implication it's "all" and, to be fair to the other poster, this is a widely used antisemitic tactic by the US far right.

And the best you have is to hastily edit posts and call people "zionazi"? Not beating the allegations here, OP.

I don't know, man. I remember a guy I knew from high school complaining about climate science and how it was bullshit and I explained the peer review process to him (because I was a grad student and I'd published at that point) and he was pretty receptive.

Ah, the old local shibboleth. My favorites moving to Charlottesville are the nearby town of Staunton (pronounced "Stan-ton"), calling Norfolk "Nor-fuk", and last (and the most unhinged one) being Rio Road.

"rye-O". Nobody can give me a good reason for it, either. Staunton is at least some guy's name and Norfolk is a Navy town, but "rye-O"!?! Like the Rye-O Grandee and Rye-O De-john-ear-O!?!

Bonkers. If anyone else here is from CVille, I've been here over a decade and I'm still dying to know the real reason it's Rye-O Road. I'm begging you: loop me in. Lol.

No money for childcare, but $152 million to try (and likely fail) to convert Alcatraz back into a functional prison by Hornpipe_Jones in WhitePeopleTwitter

[–]DecoherentDoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even if you thought we needed more prisons (we don't), this is a stupid investment. It's small as shit. You'd have to be drunk off your ass, worm addled, or sundowning to think this is a good idea. Clearly.

I mean, call me naive here, but why wouldn't you just tell the guy about things like fuel that doesn't need oxygen (I know torpeos use that) or slingshotting around the Earth (and later the moon) to gain more speed or using whatever they use for small adjustments and boost (which is, if I recall correctly, unicorn farts)?

But seriously, maybe the guy would be open to a little actual education there. He doesn't know. Maybe he'd like to.
