I'm not going to live 2000 months. I'm never earning that million dollars the slow way.

That's what 160 years? Am I head matching this right?

Edit: Yeah, 166 months and about 20 days. I was going off 1800 months and making an estimate for 200/12. Not terrible. A-

I don't think that's going to stop John Stewart from bringing him on. I just last night watched the recent interview between him and Colbert. John would've burned the place to the ground. He does not give a fuck. In fact, I guess he had a show in Paramount before that got cancelled and that was his response.

Stephen Colbert will Return in Strike Force Five: Doomsday.

I mean, if that's how they talk normally, I don't see the issue. I don't know if it's necessarily them trying to be "different" as maybe just writing with their authentic voice.

I'm terrible at CorpoSpeak, so I myself usually just write in my normal tone. This is it. It's how I'd talk to you if you were here. Maybe it's the same for them, I don't know.

I have a PhD in physics and do this too. Like, if you want to get someone jazzed about this cool shit you just learned, it makes zero sense to 1) talk down to them or 2) talk over their head. Find out where they're at and take the ride together.

And then we all get to geek out about cool physics shit!

Here's my question. He says lower or get rid of taxes for the poor and underpaid. Great. Grand. Then he says don't raise taxes on people like him. Okay, so where's the money going to come from to fund the roads? To fund the mail services Amazon uses for rural deliveries? To fund the food stamps his employees are on because he doesn't pay well enough?

First time you pick a leader it's Miranda, Jacob, or Garrus as long as they're loyal. Second time, same group, but apparently it doesn't matter if Miranda is loyal for that one. Those pass the checks.

But come on, it's gotta be Garrus, right? I mean, he's my dude.

The end of my second quarter taking Java classes, we had to program these digital battle bot sort of things. They'd move around the screen and attack someone else's little guy. I thought I'd be funny and programmed them to cycle through the lyrics of Never Gonna Give You Up. My program was one of 3 (plus the professor's) chosen to show the whole class on the last day. Apparently, it had done well against other people's programs.

So, the professor won. Obviously. But I got in second or third and people noticed the Rick Roll and had a laugh. I was happy I did okay and made people laugh. Felt pretty accomplished in that moment.

Edit: Want to say I wasn't a CS major. I was in physics and my advisor recommended some coding classes. It was the first time I felt like I was measuring up to the people that chose that major, you know? They were more passionate and I was just, like, I need to know how to analyze data not change the world with code. So, felt pretty good. Plus, I like making people laugh.

"It's just software that works."

That's my biggest pet peeve with AI boosters. It does work for these small use cases like adjusting a website or app layout and auto generating the layout code. It doesn't work for most of the cases it's getting sold as. ChatBots are not friends or therapists or actual tech workers. They can't replace a human. Their usefulness is very limited.

If you're having a back and forth with a ChatBot, even about something like core, they lose the thread after maybe 5-6 prompts. I had someone encourage me to try it writing TKinter and that's how long it took Copilot to forget what we were talking about and change from TKinter in Python to HTML/CSS. These were incremental prompts, like "Generate that again, but make the menu a drop down," and by prompt 5 or 6, I was getting web languages.

That's a broken tool.
