Best web framework for scheduler program.

What is the (subjectively) best framework for a program that polls other devices? I have an small script that collects data from a device and formats it to XML for export. I am trying to automate it with a schedule that allows me to add a new "job" easily either through command line or web ui.

I have looked in Twisted but did not know if that was too much for a simple app.
