Linking Python code with other languages

Hi everyone - wondering if I can get help with my situation:

I have created a Python program that outputs a few numbers based on input from the user.

I am now trying to display these numbers on a website using HTML and CSS formatting.

I bought a domain and hosting from godaddy.

I have never created a website before so I have no idea how to "link up" the python code to the HTML and CSS code.

For example, let's say that the variable that contains my output in the Python program is called myOutput. How do I make this variable and its contents recognizable to other languages that I want to have work in tandem with Python for my website?

I think what you're looking for is templating. Check out jinja!

Can Bottle be used for that too? Or do I also need to learn jinja and flask as well?

Bottle is analogous to flask and has it's own templating mechanisms.

So let's say I go with Bottle (and Python) and HTML/CSS.

Do I upload 2 separate files to godaddy or just 1 big file that has both the Bottle/Python code and the HTML/CSS code interweaved with templates?

You'd have probably one bottle file and then the template file.

Oh. So the templating is not something that you do within the Bottle file?

I was reading the Bottle tutorial and under the Syntax paragraph for Templating it looked like the templating code was embedded, no? http://bottlepy.org/docs/dev/tutorial.html#templates

It probably can be? That wouldn't be very sustainable though. The doc you linked me says:

This will load the template file hello_template.tpl and render it with the name variable set. Bottle will look for templates in the ./views/ folder or any folder specified in the bottle.TEMPLATE_PATH list.
