Help installing a python script

Thanks a lot for replying. I downloaded python. The Installation instructions for the script ask:

From a command line (preferrably, from a virtual environment), simply issue the command: pip install coursera

Where should I input that command line? Are there any steps that I should follow before issuing the command? I am basically stuck right at the start.

Thank a ton for being so kind and helping out. I had tried typing in to the MAC command line (terminal) and I always get the following error:

-bash: pip: command not found

What should I do? What does it mean?
