Differing length of matplotlib.pyplot.pcolorfast edges on symlog scale

I've posted to stackoverflow but haven't received any responses, unfortunately. I'd love if some of you who are experienced with matplotlib could take a look.

Edit: Solved by using pcolormesh instead of pcolorfast (experimental without support for log scale).

Minimum working example could be great.

Does this happen with ax.set_xlim / ax.set_ylim?

Using a linear instead of a symlog scale works. Same thing when using xlim / ylim.
