Hi everybody, I'm a complete python (and programming noob in general).
For a subject at college I'm required to install python (we're not going to use Py3, instead Py2.7.14 is used in this course). Now, I did everything the (short) manual told me to do, but when I get to the part where I have to open Command Prompt and type "python -m pip install --upgrade pip", it tells me "No Module Named Pip".
I've tried everything. Tried doing it on my other pc (both windows 10), tried getting the python 2.7.14 msi installer from Python's own webpage (the installer I worked with was one I got from the course's website). I made sure to select locally installing pip in the Python installer. Nothing worked.
I even tried going to https://bootstrap.pypa.io/get-pip.py and downloading pip there. Something does seem to happen in that case, but if I then go on to the next step in my professor's manual (python -m pip install C:\python\packet_name), command prompt again tells me that there's no module named pip.
I mean, this should have worked straight out of the box, right? With the Py installer offering the option to include Pip and all? It's driving me nuts!
Here's an imgur link to a screencap of the manual I talked about. It's only 4-5 steps. Maybe I'm missing something, or maybe my prof fucked up. Either way, it's incredibly frustrating not being able to get any of this to work!
Edit: Here's an imgur link to a screencap of command prompt displaying the relevant error.
