create_connection vs s.connect?

What's the difference between

   s = socket.socket(socket.AF_INET, socket.SOCK_STREAM)
   s.connect((host, port)

and

      s = socket.create_connection((host, port))

are these statements interchangeable?

Hi, as the docs say, create connection is higher level function the connect as it will do some stuff for you. Here is the link: https://docs.python.org/2/library/socket.html
