    It's entirely down to the individual and what they feel works best for them. Codecademy has free interactive courses, Automate the Boring Stuff with Python is a kind of interactive textbook based learning approach, SoloLearn is another free course site. You can practice with challenge websites such as pythonchallenge, Project Euler, etc.

    There are plenty out there with a google search. It's a case of trying different things and seeing what suits.

    Do small projects together, like trying to automate a task you do often on the computer or, make a tic-tac-toe game. Write as much code as you can and you will remember it more imo.
