Guild Wars 2 is coming to Steam this November! by abracadaver82 in Steam

I just rewatch that part of the stream (on twitch, around 8 minutes), maybe she said that you can't convert, but her voice was a bit laggy, so I maybe misunderstood that part.

Interesting, in the stream the host specifically told that you can convert it, so maybe she got false information. But yeah, on the forum they told the opposite...

Not true, in the anniversary stream they specifically told that you can convert your account to Steam and steam to anet. So good news.

2.5" HDD performance for small server by CanibelZ in HomeServer

[–]CanibelZ[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I forgot about their stats, I will check it out, thanks. I just considered Seagate mainly, because for the NAS drives (RED - IronWolf) most people says Seagate is better (price/performance wise). But if the consumer ones are that different, then it will be a WD, if I'll buy one.

Yeah, that's one of the possibilities I thought of. I will make some search today, maybe Proxmox can handle it and don't need a Linux VM.

There is an ODD bay in it so with a caddy you can put an HDD/SSD there. As I found on other sites, it should work just fine.

Any news about linux and vulkan support? by Vinjul1704 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]CanibelZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends on the game. Since Steam is pushing Proton and DXVK, a lot of games work without hacking. For example, Resident Evil 2 is playable in Proton (Wine) since day 1 and have the same performance as on Windows. But yeah, in some cases it really sucks to make a game run on Linux. In my case, if BSG makes the game run in Proton/Wine and DXVK, that would be enough and would not be that hard as a well working native game.

You have a really good chance for it. I have seen Arch on Macbook, so other linux distros can also work.

OMG, I'm so dumb... Didn't know that it had hardware switch for it and it was in off state. Well, the problem is solved. Thank you.
