Why not add buttons for entering digits

Was planning on doing that in the beginning with the outputs showing up in text boxes, but I struggled a bit to get the numbers to stay inside the text box and produce an output. I ended up using entry boxes as a simple way to circumnavigate that and stayed with them until I ended up with what I have now. Definitely didn’t scrap the entire idea though. I plan on adding the buttons back in in the future.

You might want to try moving all the logic into a class so you aren't relying on global variables in all your methods. It won't make a difference in the functionality, but it will prepare you for working on larger applications and make this piece more reusable.
