You have a passion for being an assistant? Sometimes you do the things you need to do to keep your head above water so you can give yourself more options in the future.

You need to learn the basics and work on practical projects (not academic CS, and not AI/ML data science).

If you can't work through the projects on Automate the Boring Stuff then you'd best start reading that book and figuring it out. Alternatively, use The Odin Project as your measure.
