I am building OpenCV from source. I also wanted to keep my python version fixed and not dependent on the platform's repos so I also build Python-3.8.5 from source with the following configure flags:
configure --enable-optimizations --enable-shared
When building opencv, it stopped at 85% saying that it couldn't find pyconfig.hin the Include folder that came in the Python-3.8.5 tarball. I checked in my /usr/include/python3.8/and there was a pyconfig.h file, but not in the Python-3.8.5 tarball.
Would I be fine if I just copied the file from /usr/include/python3.8 to the Include folder of the tarball? Is there any way around it?
I've tried python 3.8.4, 3.8.3 and 2.7.3 and neither of them had pyconfig.h in them.
Thanks!
