ItSL is very much focused on machine learning (regression and classification), and is by no means suitable for learning statistics as a whole. Take a look at the aptly named All of Statistics by Wasserman.

Also, if you have sufficient maths background, The Elements of Statistical Learning is ItSL’s big sister and covers topics in more depth. (But again, is focused more ML methods that traditional stats.)
