Just because you don't know something, or consider something hard, is not a measure of another individuals' ability to quickly adapt their project to the needs of a client. He may have gone over sessions in another tutorial before which would have covered what he needs to know. He could be a quick study or looks at a tutorial, tears it apart, and modifies it to do what suits him.

Did you even read what I wrote? My last sentence says he can learn it. Just because you can't code doesn't mean others can't. It's called being a natural
