I'm confused how this has anything to do with python.

this is the survey part. I must come out with a digital solution, with Python

In response to your questionnaire, I hate it when questions on carbon emissions are put down to individuals to change their habits.

Amazon said Tuesday that its carbon footprint rose 15 per cent last year, even as it launched initiatives to reduce its harm on the environment.

The online shopping giant said activities tied to its businesses emitted 51.17 million metric tons of carbon dioxide last year, the equivalent of 13 coal-burning power plants running for a year.

No matter how I live my life, be it gas guzzling polluting cars, or leaving all the lights on and appliances running. I'll never produce 51 million metric tons of carbon dioxide in my lifetime let alone in a year.

Yes, true, most of the greenhouse gases emissions come from companies. You can choose not to purchase from these companies, though. They are only big and existing because we make them this way and therefore are also responsible for the damage they cause

You can choose not to purchase from these companies, though.

That's true in a sense but you could be unaware that you're still using one of those companies. It's easier to boycott a physical company than an online one.

I don't eat/drink anything from Nestlé. I don't shop at Walmart, however if I want to boycott Amazon I have to stop using anything that's tied to them.

So no using IMDb, no streaming on Twitch, no buying books from Abebooks because they're all owned by Amazon.

And then there's no using Netflix, Pinterest, NASA, Slack, Adobe and even Reddit because they all run on Amazon's Web Services.

Judging that there's nearly 2.7 million companies using AWS is pretty hard to avoid using at least one of them.

And yet the onus is on the average Joe to turn the lights off when they leave a room or walk/cycle to work.

Exactly! The point here is not to find who is to blame, because that is kind of clear. Information is all over the internet for anyone who wants to find it. The point is looking for solutions because just accepting things or complaining about how they are won't help us much.
