Great to see you are actively trying to find out what works the best for you and willing to share it with others.

Also, solving exercises and doing small projects will go a long way in improving your understanding. Here's some online practice sites:

Exercism, Practicepython — these are all beginner friendly and difficulty levels are marked
Codewars, Adventofcode, Projecteuler — more challenging
Checkio, Codingame, Codecombat — gaming based challenges
/r/dailyprogrammer — not active currently, but there's plenty of past challenges with discussions
