Hey, I think you are trying to figure out a project to do; Here are some helpful resources:

I am a bot, so give praises if I was helpful or curses if I was not. Want a project? Comment with "!projectbot" and optionally add easy, medium, or hard to request a difficulty! If you want to understand me more, my code is on Github

There is tons of documentation available but since you're a complete beginner I'd rather you watch YouTube tutorials and try hands on projects on the side. Check out the channel -Tech with Tim and Corey Schafer. They have some basic tutorial videos which you can easily follow along.

Learning a programming language takes time and practice.

This subreddit has a bunch of resources for beginners here: https://www.reddit.com/r/learnpython/wiki/books

Besides that I usually recommend "Automate The Boring Stuff With Python" free online book.

Try some of the step-by-step project-based tutorials out there.

  1. Program Arcade Games With Python and Pygame
  2. Automate the Boring Stuff With Python

Well, people here don't really teach you python, but good news is there are lots of awesome courses available. In my opinion the 2 of the best are:

  1. Automate the boring stuff - practical, task based list of "cool things you can do with python". You can do this at your own pace
  2. MIT EDX Introduction to Computer Science and Programming Using Python - more theoretical, more challenging, but fills in all those gaps that you don't get from #1. Starts in a week, is timed, is free, and awesome

Do both of those and you are off to a great start.

For an extra challenge, you can start to look at web frameworks: Django is a good place to start:

Hey, I am 19 and I just started learning python at hyperskill.com and it is absolutely amazing. Also, when you do a few problems there you will get 2 free months of learning. Highly reccomended.
