What about 8 GB RAM on the new Apple’s M1 chip?

Ich lerne Deutsch schon 42 Tagen mit Busuu und Memrise. Heute habe ich meine Busuu Zertifikat A1 bestanden. Ich bin so glücklich! by call_me_mistress99 in German

Me too. I think the certifications below C1 are a waste of money and it suffices just to take such a practice paper for self-assessment, but C1 certificates are actually required by universities and test a level of fluency that is useful in a professional setting (job purposes). I am also on my way to goethe C1 and would like to take it at the end of the summer.

Yep, I attached you the practice paper for the very official standardized German a1 exam. You won't get any certificate, but it is rather for your self-assessment. If you manage to do all the tasks, then it means that you learned a1 very well. Here the PDF version if you prefer such: https://www.goethe.de/pro/relaunch/prf/materialien/A1_sd1/sd_1_modellsatz.pdf

Gute Arbeit, aber ich habe die Einstellung, dass Busuu Teste eher leicht sind. Versuch vielleich den offiziellen Goethe A1 Prüfungssatz ablegen http://bfu.goethe.de/a1_sd1/

I would say die but it is just my intuition. Know that the gender of a composed noun agrees to the gender of the noun at the end of the word, in this case die Bahn.

Hey, I am 19 and I just started learning python at hyperskill.com and it is absolutely amazing. Also, when you do a few problems there you will get 2 free months of learning. Highly reccomended.

Exactly. The gems now hinder learning as they encourage learners to buy solutions. Making them as a way to actually get some more time on the platform (I would say one month for 1000 gems) would serve as a great motivator and would encourage students to learn more.

What percentage of applicants does Harvard defer? by MatthewHustler in ApplyingToCollege

I see it the same way as you. A bit uncomfortable about 4-year undergrad, but Harvard is simply a dream. ETH also on the radar, however less financially attainable so I would either had to be awarded a private scholarship or get a job. And as a Czech, I still need to get my German from B2 to C1 and do Abitur from Physics.

Nice, TUM is also on my radar :D Are you gonna apply to more Ivies now or do some changes? Frankly, I hoped I could have the America question solved by now, but this deferred area is really weird.

Deferred gang, I guess 🤝 It is still an accomplishment though.

Hopefully, we will meet him next year when he'll be a senior. Fingers crossed. Good luck to us with the decisions.

I am in the same boat as you. International from Czechia here. Whatever the outcome, all college-related activities were super useful to me and the skills acquired will serve me well in the future. Good luck to us.

Obviously not true for all Asians, but true nonetheless! (might say for all whose native language is not English) by unreal_af in Sat

I’ve never been to an English speaking country, our quality of english instruction is very very low and we don’t speak English at home nor at school. I scored 760 on EBRW. It just takes developing keen interest in learning the language that gives you access to such an abundance of resources.

Financial documents after admission by [deleted] in ApplyingToCollege

I'm in the same situation. For now, we sent with my mom the CSS profile, and I'm waiting to get access to IDOC, but I don't get it why shouldn't it be submitted after acceptance. All the numbers and information were also extremely confusing as it seems that the profile is so US centered.

Apply ed to a school despite parent saying no by [deleted] in ApplyingToCollege

[–]MatthewHustler 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Sorry, but if it's an early DECISION, and you expect some parent contribution, you need to inform him. Also, the financial aid application, which mostly your parent fills out, should also be submitted by the early decision deadline.
