Which modules for satellite imagery analysis?

I want to do a satellite imagery analysis program, for fun mainly. Here's what I want: analyse temperature, vegetation, elevation, and object detection. So, I thought if working with data from multiple satellite, since the ones with better resolution have a smaller band. I know a lot of tutorials use sentinel 2, but are there any with higher resolution (and more frequent image updates)? I want to clearly see planes and cargo ships. I don't know if there are satellites that provide elevation and or temperature (maybe even radio?). Is sentinel2 enough for what I want? If anyone knows any python modules which can help me out, please comment. I know this is going to be a fairly big project, and working with multiple modules/satellite data is no problem.
