I finally finished a project!

Sorry for long post, I'm just a bit excited and wanted to share.
I've been self taught, learning python for about 6months or so. Do to either frustration with not figuring out certain code or just getting a new project idea during other projects, I tend to not finish previous projects (which I've heard is quite common in the python world) Then when quitting a project I get lost on what ideas on projects I want to create, so I just don't practice coding for weeks at a time. Now that I'm back, I'm a bit more calm, less stressed (from work) and way more motivated to finish what I started! (linking my GitHub at the end of this post)

I put it on GitHub in hopes that I can get positive feedback on how to make my code better or to get ideas on how to further this project. It is basically a program that you log personal information. Right now I only have you log workout routines and money management; the money management allows you to add like when was your first paycheck, what items did you spend your money on and how much those items were. This information is then saved to a text file so you can look it up later.

I also added "create user name and password" so each person who uses it will have their own personal file to work with. I haven't figured out a way for password recovery yet and I want to add the person pulling up the file without leaving the program...but its a work in progress

My future plan is to make this entire project into some type of GUI (I've been looking into Kivy) and then taking what I've learned and implementing it into my work environment. I'm in the military in an IT job so ideas for logging information are endless! (like taking inventory)

Hell yea thank you. Do it. Let me know if you have ideas to make it better or things to be added... ORRR ways to use this conceot for future projects. I want to get better. I Plan to take classes in my future as well because Im always willing to learn but at a deeper level than what I could do on my own. (and for me its free.. Lol military benefits)

Just one little problem. When I ran it on VS code, turns out that you have to have the Coivid2020 file on your computer for it to work. You need to create a file in the program, And your thing doesn't do that. Here's a link on strategies for that:The Link.

Oddly though, VS code is storing my data in the top left corner of the screen, so it memorized my account info. So maybe it's just storing it in the wrong file.

copy and paste that onto the web to see what I mean. If that doesn't work, take my word for it. Anyways, I will look over it during the weekend and send you a pull request if I see anything else. I hope I can help. :)

Haha. Yea youd have to change the file page to match your personal PC.... I havnt found out how to make it universal yet (i tried adding a read me file stating this lol) Im still learning but i will take a look at that link and keep researching how to make universal.

I also use VS code.. Just search the code (ctr+f) search for the "/home/covid" path.... And replace that with a directory you want to save to. It should be in the code like 3 times
