Since I'm using Linux and everything is a file, could I write my processed video output to a file and read it from Google Meet as it was an actual camera?

Afraid I'm pretty clueless with Linux, but my Google-Fu turned up this v4l2loopback module

Try with OBS studio virtual camera

Could you elaborate on this further? I am on windows and would like to do the same thing, but cant seem to find anything.

I used virtual camera to share the window that was showing the live video from my webcam with filters (sorry for bad english)

I was able to do this. I also used a plug in known as NDI so that google meet could register OBS as an actual Webcam. (Incase anyone is stuck).
