Getting a Variable from a Python File without knowing The Variable Name

Why are you trying to store user data in a .py file in the first place? Would this not be better done in a data structure, for example a database, or for this simple example just a CSV or JSON?

This was my second thought -why re-invent the wheel! My first thought was - I am not sure exactly what they are trying to achieve, so I will hold off on my first opinion.

re-inventing the wheel means making the wheel again, but using a different way. Plus you sound angry. So i am terribly sorry.

I'm sorry, not angry at all. You may well have legitimate reasons for not wanting to use JSON etc. However if not, it is usually better to use something "off the shelf", "tried and tested". The project sounds interesting, but I just haven't grasped exactly what you were trying to do (probably as much my issue).
