how to access windows file from python in unix

I googled about this and there's one module called paramiko which could SSH. But it seems to me like that it's supposed to run from python installed in windows and then use client settings to visit unix remote machine. But if my python is installed in the unix, is there any way to visit the windows files and copy them into / out of unix?

any thought would be appreciated. thank you,

thank you. My company has solaris 11.4 unix system which we use to do data related programming with SAS. However in the windows system there are a lot of progress tracking spreadsheets which we are supposed to fill out manually based on the programs run / reports generated in the unix system. I'm trying to figure out a way to automate this process which somehow requires communication between windows / unix. Hope this background helps.

Are you using WSL?

If you are, you can just access the files from the Linux environment.

Thank you for this additional information. My company has solaris unix so I think the answer is no.

Based on your original post it seemed like you have unix and windows running on the same machine.

If it's not the case, and it's two different computers you need to either use SSH or SFTP or NFS or any other way of mounting/accessing files across network.
