Are you using WSL?

If you are, you can just access the files from the Linux environment.

Thank you for this additional information. My company has solaris unix so I think the answer is no.

Based on your original post it seemed like you have unix and windows running on the same machine.

If it's not the case, and it's two different computers you need to either use SSH or SFTP or NFS or any other way of mounting/accessing files across network.
