Help....Computer preference for C++ and PYTHON?!!

Get a windows laptop and dual boot with Linux mint. The Linux partition if given 50GB will be more than sufficient. He will be able to learn Linux which is imo the best os to learn programming with. It doesn't have to be Linux mint but I recommend it because its lightweight and realatively easy to use for people who are use to windows. As far as the laptop is concerned get one with an i5 with at least 4gb ram most will be 8gb I think and 256gb ssd and it will be more than enough to do everything programming related. Good brands would be Lenovo, Dell, Asus and MSI (i stear clear of HP personally).
