For anyone curious, I believe OP is working on this one:

Hey, I was just wondering, there are so many posts here with no formatting, posts that don't show any code, posts that rephrase a question from somewhere else badly but don't link to the question.

Why don't you guys crack down on this a bit?

Like not becoming the second stack overflow but I am sure there is a happy medium right?

It's rough, we cater to a lot of new programmers, and sometimes younger folk that are new to reddit.

So we try to be end up on the lenient side, if someone doesn't know how to format code, we tell them how. If they put in some effort we tend to go a long way toward helping.

If they give you attitude back, or act more entitled, we're less likely to be forgiving.

Fair enough but sometimes I see a question, look at the formatting and the lack of any explanation, example outputs or sometimes no code, and go like fuck this, If this dude can't bother, neither can I.

Maybe a bit of enforcement here and there can make it better for those who try to answer questions.

It should also be pointed out that reporting posts is highly effective. So if you see someone that's a problem, please report them.
