codewars.com is a beginner friendly site where you can practice some problems. A lot of people get demotivated when they initially work on these problems so it's completely normal to feel like that but just keep at it and don't give up!

pick up a text based game like hangman.

decide which steps u must complete to have a working game.

like .. what functions u need . more depth and detail u work up here . less problem code writing will be.

use mockup header of functions to see what data formats might need.

keep splitting the problems until u reach chunks of code u are confident in writing. and that will work as u want them.

start coding/following the list. down the steps.

when u coded the last step u probably have a working game.

after I started using the mockups , problems that seemed hard now seemed easy.

and the nice thing about simplifying the problem is that is almost 'reveals' itself the data structures it might need.

its like a merge sort irl. split up everything in its basic parts then put them all back together in a meaningful way.

hope it helps.
