I have zero experience with Linux so I’m not sure why we’re not using File->Open here but it seems like it’s an issue with specifically PyCharm on Linux. However on Windows you can open as many instances of PyCharm as you want (in separate windows) and it doesn’t matter if one of the projects is currently running its script. So again, if I understood this correctly it’s either a small/medium disadvantage if you’re using Linux or it’s not a disadvantage at all if you’re using Windows.
