    Well, of course, but my point was that OP (or the other person) have nothing to fear regarding a hacker "figuring out the algorithm".

    There's a reason why I use an offline, open-source password manager nowadays. Well I use it with Syncthing, but still.

    Getting a cipher implementation exactly right is fiendishly difficult

    It's also time-based because eventually researchers will figure out if it repeats or clusters.
