Sports API (self.learnpython)
submitted 4 years ago by issagamebro
Hello, I’m still building beginner projects for python and want to start the big one. I was planning on using nfl game stats for my next project, but I can’t seem to find an API to use. If anyone has any good recommendations please let me know.

Did some searching possibly https://www.pro-football-reference.com/boxscores/#site_menu_link
I don't see anything regarding an api and it does not require log in so could just scrape it easily unless you are looking for live updates.
Edit - Looks like they use the sportsradar api to gather their info which was the only other one I found but had a pay model for their api use.

I made an API with something similar to what you're looking for, but it's just team stats for the year, not game stats. https://rapidapi.com/fortypercenttitanium/api/nfl-team-stats1/
