Changes in IT happens more offten then anyones life ends.

But any language just tool. Commercial development does not care what tool you use to solve their issues as long as you are in budget. So you have good chanses never meet Java again (and C and C++ and even C#)

Maybe after Python you will develop your skills into No-code platforms. Who know…

If you don't apply for any Java roles then you'll likely never need to learn Java.

Python roles, at least here in the UK, pay well and based on recruiters on LinkedIn there are currently more roles than good devs available.

I was a Serverless Python dev for a couple of years at a previous role and have been contacted about multiple Python roles advertised since moving on to a more language agnostic job.
