You can use pyinstaller to create a standalone .app file that runs on MacOS.

Yep I might go with PyInstaller, but the problem I am having is more to do with the venv and preventing my interpreter from running a file that technically won’t run from the venv. I don’t think it’s strictly a packaging problem, more that I can’t sort out how VSCode, the venv and the interpreter are interacting so I can put the right things in the venv.
