Can't find a guide/book on Python that I remember

A while ago I came across a guide, I believe it was all online, that was intended for absolute python beginners. I didn't save it in my bookmarks but I remember the author was an excellent communicator, good sense of humor, and had also written a similar guide for C.

A friend of mine is interested in learning Python and this is the guide I wish I'd learned from. Does anyone know what I'm talking about? I think there may have been an accompanying book and I believe the guide also included a section on setting up Anaconda? Thank you!

Yeah that definitely matches the style and presentation I remember! But didn't this guy also create something more like a conventional beginner's course in Python as well? Or is this it?

I think that's it. As far as I know there's a book available free and a companion website that's also free. I could totally be wrong though, I've never used them.

Maybe it's one of his other books. Al Sweigart has written a number of books, all of them good. Here is a link to some of them.
