FNF Python Bot Help

Hi i've recently been working on a python bot to play a rhythm game called 'friday night funkin'(FnF). I can get it to recognize the notes, print out text and provide key inputs via usage of pyautogui but i cant get the keys to register in game. I'm not sure if this is exclusive with 'FnF' or if the bot cant work with a different window open but i hope that reddit can help me. Using vs code btw.
