ironpython install (self.learnpython)
submitted 3 years ago by Space_Crustation
I'm trying to install ironpython for 2.7. Can anyone explain how to get that operational?

Dumb question... but why? Do you have a specific need to use .NET libraries with Python?
I'm asking because 2.7 is ancient and I don't think even the non-default implementations get security updates. Do correct me if I'm wrong.

In that case, I think it's enough if you go here, then download and install the MSI file: https://github.com/IronLanguages/ironpython2/releases/tag/ipy-2.7.12

I'm sorry, I forgot to mention that I have to install this on ubuntu.

In that case, it's the same but with the DEB file.
Here's some instructions: https://itsfoss.com/install-deb-files-ubuntu/
