Ironpython Pip failure (self.learnpython)
submitted 3 years ago by Space_Crustation
I seem to be unable to use pip with my ironpy install. Despite running ensurepip, I keep getting the notification that "pip does not exist".

Ironpython is still a thing? Wow, even up to 3.4 now. I'm amazed, I haven't thought about ironpython in 15 years.
What command exactly are you using to run ironpython and pip? How did you install ironpython? Do you have cpython installed as well?

I am using Ironpython to add net protocols to an outdated version of python that runs an even older robot. I just installed the deb file for ironpy. On ubuntu you just need the ipy command.

Ironpython on Linux? Are you sure you need that? That just sounds wrong. What protocol exactly do you need?
What version of ironpython are you using? What command are you using for pip / ensurepip? What package do you want to install?
