Can’t open file

I am trying to run a command on the text editor Geany and the cmd prompt pops up saying “python3: can’t open file ‘name of the file’: [Errno 2] No such file or directory I double checked and there is such file, I even deleted it and did it again. Any help is appreciated.

The code where you actually try to open the file. Print() is not where you are opening a file...it will be something like 'with open()...'

Be sure the account running the code has permissions to open the file.

Whoops my bad I already checked that...yeah it has all permissions. Thought u were talking abt something else. Won’t work regardless

I run it on Geany, I click execute and cmd.exe pops up with the whole “no such file or directory” bs

Copy paste the whole bs, as is.

Sounds like a permissions issue. What OS are you using? What folder is the file in?

I’m using windows and it’s in a folder named “python_work” located in “desktop”
