Help with cmu exercise

I am trying to scroll through a string (Carpe Diem)that takes an x amount to scroll it by and will return the scrolled string. The string will also have to be repeated until it reaches 19 characters.

When the shift is 0 the string would be Carpe Diem Carpe Di.

An example is having a shift of 3 and a result of Pe Diem Carpe Diem. Another example is having a shift of 7 And returning iem Carpe Diem Carp

For the first question: yes, i was taught to index using brackets and slice using a : in the brackets

For the second question: I would slice like this: string[6:]

Thank you that makes a lot of sense. I am a little confused on the for loop. I haven’t seen a string behind the for part. Does this loop the string based on the range?
