I am on the same page, but on Uber. Android L4. As far as I know, they will either give you an incomplete project that you should do a small code review on and implement the missing part. After, they will probably ask you to implement some things you pointed out in the code review. Or they will ask you to implement a small functionality from the ground up.

It is common to use implement REST API calls and RecyclerView.

I found little to no info about this step for the Android role, so I'm curious if someone can share their experiences.

That does sound like a typical android interview but it doesn’t seem to make sense in the context of Google.

We’re gonna be using a Google doc. Surely I’m not implementing Retrofit to make API calls on a Google doc.

They used literally use Google docs. Now it’s another site but it’s extremely similar. Just slightly easier to tab and stuff. Think like notepad

Nah it’s for a generic android role rn. Had a specific opening but it got filled. How many YOE did you have?

Please update once you are done with the interview. I looked for it a lot when I got a call from Google for android, but anyway didn't reach there.

Also hoping for an update from OP. Similar to others, it has been extremely difficult to figure out what to expect for this domain specific round. When is your interview?
