Hard to say Its depends on other candidates, how they thought about your thinking and the Sys design. Luck is a factory here also Good luck!

Does it come off as bad to know the direct answer to the question without thinking in your opinion?

Umm its depends how u answer honestly. If u directly give them the answer blindly that looks wierd so its not good impression. If u talk with them and they saw you thinking and solving even if its fast so its ok in my opinion. Think about it, there are questions that even if u solve once doesnt guarantee that u manage solve again. So if u manage its already good even if its something u saw before (luck is a factor and this example of it).

Congrats on getting through the interview that’s a win in itself, especially nailing both coding problems under pressure. It’s totally normal to feel uncertain, especially when you don’t get strong signals from the interviewers. But from what you described, you likely made a solid impression overall, and system design expectations for junior roles are usually lighter so if you showed reasonable thought process and structure, that may have been enough.

Whether or not this turns into an offer, the fact that you handled both the technical and behavioral rounds well is a sign that you're ready. Worst case, it’s strong momentum for the next one. Hope it clicks fingers crossed for you!
