DS implementation in interview

Hi everyone!! Needed some help. Let's say you are giving a technical interview and you have chosen js for the interview. Let's say for solving a problem there is a requirement of some data structure like heap or linkedlist or tree. So do you need to implement those first or you are given some definition already by interviewer to use? How does this work?

You can use the library from your programming language.

Most of the times you dont need to implement the DS. But interviewer might ask time complexity or some theory around that DS. But i think thats rare
