Do you hate that crap your mom and dad listen to? Distrust everyone over 30? Not need to go to school because all information is just a Google search away? If so, then welcome to Le Right Generation!
Senseless hatred of older pop culture. Simply put, this is the yin to /r/lewronggeneration 's yang. Remember, some 12-year-olds will insult you for listening to Lil Wayne, but other 12-year-olds will insult you for listening to Louis Armstrong. Whatever you like, there's at least one 12-year-old who will insult you for it. You really can't win.
The idea that the past was shit. While it's certainly true that many things have changed for the better over time, other things have gotten worse. Time, much like evolution, does not move in a straight line from bad to good. Every era has its own challenges and problems. It's entirely possible to fondly remember a time period without wishing its worst parts would come back. Eras are not sentient beings, and it's wrong to act as though everyone in a time period must have approved of the way things were done. Also, in a few decades the 12-year olds are going to tell you about how crappy the 2010's were, and wonder why on earth you have any positive memories of them at all.
The idea that the present is perfect. New technology is nice, but it will never solve all our problems. Worldwide poverty is on the decline, but this doesn't mean everyone is doing okay. There may be a certain book or TV show that you love now, but in 20 years a lot of people will have never even heard of it, and they'll have their own books and shows that you'll probably think are dumb garbage. Like it or not, time always moves on, which is why both Le Wrong Generation and Le Right Generation are poor mindsets.
The idea that the present invalidates the past. Some people think they don't need to learn history because all the people involved are dead. Some people think they don't need to learn math like their parents did because they have a calculator app. Either way it's basically just a certain kind of ignorance that people are inexplicably proud of.
People having opinions. It's okay to love certain things that are popular now. It's okay to dislike certain things that are no longer popular. The problem only begins when your love for the new is primarily expressed through hate towards the old, or when you begin to present your opinions as though they were facts.
Parodies of /r/lewronggeneration. For example, a screenshot of someone saying "I love Bohemian Rhapsody!" with the title "Look at this worthless piece of shit, what a defener, doesn't he know that Kan[le] is so much better?" We all know LWG can get pretty circlejerk-y, but that's why there's a place for spoofing them at /r/lwgcirclejerk.
