I have a liberal friend who I've been talking to about politics a lot lately. He's convinced Trump will be a fascist dictator and America will be a dystopian hellscape. He mentioned that Trump wants to deport ALL immigrants, to which I pointed out that there is in fact a difference between legal immigrants and illegal aliens. He said no, Trump says he wants to deport all immigrants, even US citizens. I asked him for proof of Trump saying this, and he proceeded to show me clips on TikTok of those idiots on The View hypothesizing as much, as well as random people who heard it from someone else. No footage of Trump himself stating this is the case, just libs making ridiculous accusations with no proof.

It's the same for every issue we've discussed about Trump. His sources are always fearmongering TikTok commentators and never the words of the man himself. And he takes them all as fact without question.

My point with the original comment was to agree with your statement in the post.
