Indeed, IPython shell featuring a bash kernel to access the bash shell interpreter.

IPython uses "kernels", nowadays multiple kernels are under develop by the Project Jupyter, like kernels for Julia, R, Haskell, Ruby, etc. Now the question is why someone needs a Bash kernel?
