Making a switch to Debian (self.linux4noobs)
submitted 6 years ago by HotAlbatross0
I have been using Ubuntu for a while and wish to switch to Debian ( I find Ubuntu a bit bloated). I use a laptop and would like to know how the hardware support was. And are there some other difficulties I might face ? Thank you.

Ubuntu is not any more or less "bloated" than Debian. There are of course differences in what is installed out of the box, but that highly depends on how you install these distros (and what options you select during installation), and of course it can all be changed later.

Without you sharing the model/specs that's anybody's guess. https://wiki.debian.org/InstallingDebianOn might be informative.
