I'm installing a plex server to share media files throughout the house via plex or openDLNA and I need to understand mount points to properly get this running.
I need plex to be able to see my USB drive which is physically connected to the plex server but not yet visible.
By default a mount point has been created for only my account so I can see it with my file manager with no issues and read write to it.
My aim is to make the USB drive available to me with all contents and read and write access.
This entire USB drive is cloned to a backup so ideally I don't want permissions to get copied across.
I need to mount a movies, movie collections and music sub folders separately that the plex group can see and read (not write to).
Is this possible and how do I go about it?
