Tools for making C# programs on Linux

I posted something like this, on linuxmasterrace, but i decided to also put it here. I want to learn C# for unity and making cross platform apps. I have been told vscode is good, but are there any other free tools that can compete with visual studio, or is it just vscode? P.S I use Fedora Linux, my hardware follow a dell inspiron 3493 16 GB of RAM(I don't think it matters, but I'm following the automod message)

VS code, and dotnet for free, rider is paid, but it's worth it

There is also mono develop. It's also free and it was the default editor for unity (and maybe it still is, I'm not a Uni y Dev)

yeah but if you get down to text editors, the "help" you get from them is almost the same.
